Cathedral of Cefalu
|
Similar to the Cathedral at Monreale, a
Norman work begun in the 12th century and with Byzantine Mosaics
throughout
|
Mosaic of Christ Pantocrator. Note the right
hand which is used in most of the Byzantine pictures of Christ.
The 3 middle fingers denote the trinity, the two touching
fingers denote the duality of Christ - both divine and human.
