On
September 25, 2012, we met Barbara's youngest sister Billie and
her husband Ken in Moab for a week of hiking and sightseeing in
the beautiful parks of southern Utah. Our weather was perfect, the
scenery spectacular and the company couldn't be beat! We stayed
3 nights in Moab at the Ramada Moab Downtown motel. The motel is
located in the center of town with easy walking to restaurants and
shops. The rooms were very large and comfortable. From Moab, we
took day trips into Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park
- Island in the Sky District, and Dead Horse Point State Park. Leaving
Moab, we then travelled south down highway 191 for a visit to Canyonlands
National Park - Needles District. We stayed overnight in the small
town of Blanding and an equally small motel. The next day we drove
up to Capital Reef National Park through the Glen Canyon National
Recreation Area with a stop in Natural Bridges National Monument.
After an overnight in Torrey, Utah we drove on to Bryce Canyon National
Park. The drive was really beautiful with all the fall colors. To
view the photos and a brief description of each area we visited,
